Installing Microsoft windows 10 using USB drive

Before installing any operating system to your PC makes sure your device hardware meets or exceeds the minimum requirement of the operating system you want to install.


Steps to install Microsoft windows 10 using USB drive

First download the windows 10 ISO image from Microsoft website download windows 10 ISO and save into your computer will help you to create bootable device. Also alternatively you can install windows 10 using the web installer found to Microsoft website Windows USB/DVD Download Tool.

Choose Installation Method
Choose the installation method, either local installation source which will require you to launch setup from local installation like CD/DVD-ROM, or to launch setup from bootable media like USB drive or external hard disk.

Installing using bootable media USB drive
In this article I I’ll show installation of windows 10 operating system using bootable media USB drive. Prepare bootable image to USB drive or Hard disk. Decide whether to use Command or Software for my case I will use USB installer download USB installer

USB installer steps

Insert USB drive to computer USB port, Click file explorer, This PC. Tap and right click on inserted disk then format.
Navigate into your computer drive browse your software folder and double click on USB installer. Scroll down; pick windows 8 or 7 installer. Tick format box at step 4, then tap create. Be patient will take some time.


Installing windows 10 from USB drive
Restart your computer, at restart press F12 or F9 for time while. A key depends on your computer, operating system start loading files.

Then press any key from your keyboard.

You will be given three options like: boot from CD/DVD-ROM, Hard drive and USB drive. If you not find option for USB drive, press F8 to enter into the system BIOS.(note: key depends on computer you use). Find boot menu, pick boot from USB drive then press OK.
Press F10 to save changes, restart computer and follow the above steps.

After you boot your computer you will see the screen requires you to
set the language to install, Time and Currency format and keyboard or input method. 


Then click Next you will be taken to Install Now button, tap on it with single hit.


Under which type of installation you want.
 
Choose custom (Advanced) means installing the OS on the same partition as a previous installation of Windows, remember custom installation doesn't preserve your programs, file and settings do this if you want to move from one Version of Operating System to another. 


Upgrade will preserve your program, files and settings.
Point to note, since you are installing from virtual machine, you should select custom(Advanced).

It's time to select partition (disk) to install operating system to computer hard drive, in case your computer has several partitions. you will need to delete and create partition again or format the existing partition if you're installing in the same partition as previous installation of windows.

Bottom right corner click on drive option (advanced) to get more options like: Create new partition, delete partition, Format partition then click next. (Choose Format Partition if you're installing in the same partition as previous installation of windows.

Windows 10 installation progress, your computer might be restarted several times during this step be patient.


When done, select the settings. Use the express settings if you’re using a test machine and custom settings if you’re going to use the computer. Now sign in to your Microsoft account to get full access of the new features.

After setup finished, you will get Hi from Cortana, that will help you to configure windows 10 installation. Cortana will ask your region where you are, select from the list given by Cortana or you can speak direct to Cortana and follow the instruction.
