How to uninstall programs in windows 10

Uninstalling a program or software within your computer, hopefully is the most common and important task that every computer user need to perform. 

But things are different to most of users with no any computer knowledge or newbies to windows 10; you might not know how to uninstall every program or software. 

Some approach used previously in windows XP then Seven are still available like the use of control panel, but still might not work to some of the programs or software, in this article I will pass you in all approaches. 
 

Why do you need to uninstall program or software from computer?

You might find at once you bought your computer; you installed several programs without any knowledge on it, and as the time goes on you find you can’t use them, or you don’t have any idea on the programs, so you will need to uninstall it from the computer.

You might find also you installed the program or software to your computer, but as the time goes on you start observing changes to your computer like slow down performance, heating and much more, so in that case you will need to uninstall the software.

The size of the program, you might find the installed software have large size as compared to the storage of your computer, which consume a lot of local disk storage, so no need to keep such kind of program try to install the programs depending on your computer internal storage.



The installed software or program might changes the computer graphics, so if you observe these changes, uninstall the program immediately.

So, it’s therefore the best option to observe the installed programs or software that may have been installed on your machine and you install the program, that lead to misbehaving of your computer. Here I will show you tips you can use to uninstall the program on your computer.

Uninstall the programs windows 10 using control panel

In previous article we learn on several ways to open control panel in windows 10, so open control panel, and press Win + X click control panel from the options.

Now on the open control panel window, look for Programs and click on it then click on the Programs and Features, uninstall or change program window open. To uninstall the program use these three steps.


  • Click on the program you wish to uninstall, now you will see the uninstall link on the menu above next to organise and click on it. You will asked for confirmation, if you real want to uninstall the program, confirm by pressing the uninstall button and the uninstallation process will start, wait for it to finish.
  • Double click on the program you wish to uninstall, you will asked for confirmation, if you real want to uninstall the program, confirm by pressing the uninstall button and the uninstallation process will start, wait for it to finish.
Right click on the program you wish to uninstall on your computer, then click uninstall. You will asked for confirmation, if you real want to uninstall the program, confirm by pressing the uninstall button and the uninstallation process will start, wait for it to finish.



If the program you wish to uninstall from your computer, offers extra link like change or repair the program click on it to repair or change the program. Some of the program I know with such kind of link is Borland C++ and more programs. After the uninstallation process finished, you will receive confirmation, to some programs or software you may be asked to restart your computer for changes to take place in your computer.
 

Uninstall the programs using windows 10 settings

They are several ways to open windows 10 settings as we learned in previous article, press Win + I to open settings, click on system. Look on left pane from the list select Apps & features, the list of programs listed on app feature window, click on the program you wish to uninstall then the uninstall button will appear on your right, click on it to uninstall the program or software. 


You will be given the warning, click uninstall to continue, now the windows will have uninstalled the program or software.

Uninstall the program from the program folder: 

Also you can uninstall the program or software by deleting the program folder from the local disk. Check the program folder where it was installed then delete its folder, for instance for windows 10, Go to local disk C: click Program Files (*86), right click on the program folder, then click delete.
