Internet browser provides several language lists for you to decide the language of your own choice. But remember changing the web browser for PCs is little difference for changing web browser language for mobile device, since you need to change first your mobile device language settings. Here the steps to follow.

In this article I will show you, on how you can change browser language for some browser such as Mozilla Firefox, Google chrome and Opera mini.

How to change language in Firefox 

Mozilla Firefox is the free web browser, which allows you customize its fonts and size of the web text, its appearance, change text and background color as well as theme to suit your needs. Here the steps to change language in Firefox.

Launch Mozilla Firefox by clicking the Firefox shortcut on desktop/laptop, Check at your right hand at the top, click menu options select options. Select content at the left tab, under Content you will see Languages (choose your preferred language for displaying pages) click Choose button to change language. Tap the scroll down button to select language to add in order of preference then click ok.

How to change language in Google Chrome

Google chrome is the Google owned browser for both desktop and mobile device with fast loading, easy to use, customizable according to your need. Follow the steps below to change language for Google chrome browser.

Launch Google chrome internet browser by clicking the desktop shortcut icon, on your right hand at the top corner click three vertical dot (customize and control Google chrome).

Scroll down, select Settings then scroll down and click advanced settings. Under advanced settings select languages. Click add languages, the list of language will be given to you. Now select the language of your choice then click the ADD button (blue color button).

Close your browser, reopen it again and observe the changes.

How to change language in Opera mini

Opera mini is another internet browser that has best experience in times of use, fast load as well as customizable like some browser. Follow the steps bellow to change the opera mini language.

Launch Opera mini browser, click the opera mini desktop shortcut icon, click menu at the left top most corner, you will be given two option “speed dial” and “settings”. Click settings (gear icon).

On left tab select settings from the list near websites from the bottom, scroll down until you see languages near network from the top and downloads from the bottom. Under language click preferred language button to change the language for webpages.

The pop up window will open, click Add language button on your left hand at the pop up window. The small pop up window will open, now press the scroll down menu (add language beneath) the list of languages will be given to you, but before changing the language you will find the default language on the box as “Afrikaans” written in it.

Scroll down and select your language of your choice, then click the “Add” button (blue color button) on your right hand.

Now click and drag the language you selected at the top of the list, to make it your preferred language for any pages that support the language otherwise will not.

Click done button (blue color) at your right hand corner of the window to save changes. Restart your browser to save changes. Observe the changes.

How to change language for Microsoft edge browser

Microsoft edge browser is the latest Microsoft browser integrated in windows 10, which takes over internet explorer browser that was integrated in windows 7, 8.  

The different of Microsoft edge is that you can downloads applications direct from the browser store. And it’s too easy to use, have best experience in loading fast, etc. Follow the following steps to change the Microsoft edge browser language, but the steps is right different as the one we used above since its integrated in windows.

Open the control panel either by typing control panel on search windows bar. Or type run on search windows, the small pop up window will be prompted to you, type in control panel near windows icon, then press ok to open the control panel.

Under Adjust your computer’s settings, select “Clock, Language and Region”

Under language, select “Add a language”. Under Change your language preferences click Add language. Since the languages are organized alphabetically, press scroll down menu to have the listed language.

Click the language you do prefer then click open button at the bottom corner of the window. You will be given the list of language if the language have different version. Select the language, then click Add button at the bottom right corner. You might need to click this button for several times to moves the language to the top of the list.

Then select move up to move the selected language at the top most of other languages.

Now close the control panel, restart your computer. Now check your browser for changes.

How to change language in Internet explorer

Internet explorer is the browser used mostly in windows 7, 8 etc. In 2002 and 2003, internet explorer was one of the mostly widely used web browser. 

But its usage was declined with the launch of Mozilla Firefox in 2004, Google chrome in 2008 and with the growing popularity of operating system such as Android, iOS, Linux and macOS. Follow the steps below to change the language for internet explorer browser.

Launch the internet explorer by typing in search windows bar, then click on it. Click tools at the top most of right hand. Select internet options.

The pop up window will open; Check at the bottom “Appearance” on listed horizontal tabs select Languages. The small pop up window opened, click “set language preferences” button.

Under Change your language preferences click Add language. Since the languages are organized alphabetically, press scroll down menu to have the listed language.
