How to change whatsapp color for one contact
Turn on your smartphone, if it was turned off
At the middle of your phone tap rectangular grid to open the application folder, scroll down and find and tap whatsapp application on phone screen.
After the whatsapp application opened, click on the contact you want to change its background color, don’t type anything in case you want to change the background color for one contact.
Look at your right hand at the top most corner select menu (three vertical dots), this might be different depending on the phone your using the menu button also you might find it at the bottom right and bottom left. And not necessary to be three rectangular dots
From the list, select wallpaper: after selecting wallpaper you will be given options click “solid color” from five options.
You will be given several colors, such as black, brown, blue, grey, white, pink etc. pick the color of your choice then tap it, the color shown to wallpaper preview.
Click “Set” located at the bottom right corner to allow changes to take place.
