Microsoft windows and
Linux operating system connects to network through mobile broadband, Ethernet
cable and Wi-Fi. But mostly in this article I will be dealing with windows 10
operating system. In windows 10 whenever you connect to a new Wireless network
it credential information is added and stored in a list of profiles already
available in your windows.
Some of the wireless
network credential information saved to your computer includes: wireless name,
SSID, password, encryption method. But as the time goes on you might find that
you don’t need the Wi-Fi network you have earlier linked to, or some wireless
networks are not working again, so you need to troubleshoot it. Also as you know if your windows computer
saved your phone Wi-Fi credential information, every time you connect to the
internet with your phone, the windows computer will connect automatically to
your network, so you need to delete credential information. Again over the time
if you don’t remove stored Wi-Fi network can become quite large. So in this
article techtza guides you on how you can delete, or forget network profiles in
windows 10.
Tap and click the network
icon on the lower right corner at the taskbar, now click network settings. Next
click on Wi-Fi in the left tab of the opened panel, under Wi-Fi on the panel
you will see the link named “Manage WiFi settings” below advanced options.
Click on it.
The manage WiFi settings window open, you will
see two settings that is WiFi Sense and scroll down to the Manage known
networks. Under manage known networks you will see the list of all saved
wireless network, click on the Wi-Fi network you want to delete or remove, two
options button will be given to you i.e. Share and forget.
Click forget button
to remove all the credential wireless network details from your windows.
