It’s easier to determine if your phone has been infected by virus, some of the point is that: your android phone will start misbehaving; you can compare how fast it was at the time you bought it and now, when you turn on your phone, stays in loading it won’t turn on faster, or if you open certain apps it crashes (won’t open). Second, you will get an ad convincing you that your android phone is infected by viruses; you have to act and download an app.

Usually most of us, installs software in android phone from the source we don’t trust. The ones we care about is to have the software installed on your phone, which helps you to perform certain task but that’s big mistakes because all viruses are delivered in android phone through apps installed on your phone especially, the apps installed from unknown source, so you need to observe that. The best way to avoid this is to install the software from the Google Play Store. If you always observe and take precautions you will get your android phone running smart, and you get out of viruses.

To ensure yourself from installing applications outside of the Google Play Store make sure you disable the security options that stated “allow installation of apps from unknown source”. This options found in Security options. Follow the following steps to disable the security options: Tap settings from phone home screen, under Security & Account Management tap Security. Under security scroll down and find “Unknown sources” if is enabled, disable it; done. But remember these steps may differ depending on your phone manufacturer.

If you’re in hurry need to install an apps that’s not available on Google Play Store, and you get convinced that no any apps available on a play store can perform similar task. But you can get it outside of the Google Play Store make sure you research the apps and this is the hints you need to consider while researching the apps: First hints, check its permission especially if they player want to see your contact. Second hints visit developer website to see the similar product delivered from them, and find more review online about the applications, because might be others using the similar apps. If you’re not clear with the apps leave it for security reason otherwise might break your phone.

Also you can install antivirus apps from Google Play Store, they are sufficiently android antivirus apps you can use it for free or you can decide to buy some to get extra features. These antiviruses available on Google Play Store are able to scan, detect and remove malicious app and viruses. Example of free antivirus are: Avast antivirus, Kaspersky antivirus, bitdefender antivirus, 360 Mobile security, etc. but the point to remember always is that, regardless of security delivered by this mobile security still may generate false positive results. For instance it might report to you that certain app you have been using for several months has viruses or malware when you know it’s okay. Ignore the alerts and continue. Here the steps to remove a virus from android phone without antivirus.

  • Start your android phone in safe mode:

This is one of the best options to remove viruses or malware from android phone without using antivirus, when you start your phone in safe mode prevents any third party apps running, even malware can’t run if the android phone is in safe mode. To boot your android phone in safe mode turn off your phone then press and hold the power on/off button to bring the options to restart in safe mode, if doesn’t work.

Press and hold the power on/off button, at the time is starting press and hold the down volume button next to the power on/off button. If not try to search on how you can boot your phone in safe mode, this may differ depending on the phone manufacturer/vendors.

When the phone boots in safe mode, you will be able to see the safe mode options at the left bottom of your phone.

After you’re in safe mode, tap settings menu. Scroll down find Apps under System. Then make sure you viewing the downloaded tab. Look for viruses or malware if any. Look to see if there is any new looking that you are sure that you never installed it. Malware have dodgy looking so observe it.

Tap on the malicious app to open the app info pages then click uninstall to remove the viruses from your phone.

If you find the malicious has given it the device administrator close the app. Reopen settings, scroll down under Security & Account management tap security. Under security scroll down and hit Device administrators. Here you will find the list the lists of app in your android phone with administrator status. Uncheck the box for the apps you need to uninstall. Next tap deactivate on your right hand at the bottom corner of the screen. Now, return to the apps menu and remove the malicious apps.

Now, restart your phone or tablet, that will take you out of safe mode, you will have your phone running properly. If you still worried install free antivirus from Google play store that will protects you from any attacker.

  • Reset your phone

I don’t advice this option, use it if you are sure that your android phone is truly affected by malicious and you have already tried other options and no positive results you get from the previous options. Remember resetting your phone or tablet you will lose everything on your phone such as your apps, Google accounts, photo and video especially if you haven’t backed up, etc. You will be starting fresh.

To reset your phone follow these steps: Open settings menu, scroll down, under system tap Backup & reset. Under backup & reset tap Factory data reset, then tap reset phone at the middle bottom of your phone screen. Remember these steps might differ depending on your phone manufacturer/vendor.
