Scanning for and Removing Viruses
The network engineers
around the world they are making great efforts on fighting against the viruses
which invades the system and affect some of the computer on a network. Despite
of all efforts from network engineer still the viruses invade the system on a
network around the world. Now, you can imagine how hard to fight this kind of
war.

invades both large to small companies, although it’s advisable to use antivirus
that will help to scan the product and limits the communication between
suspicious machine of being attacked and the others machine available on the
network. Its better make sure the suspicious machine has to be scanned and the
virus removed.

functionality of computer differ depending where it’s being used, personal based
computer used mainly at home and business based computer used mainly in the
office. That’s how even the antivirus need to differ in use, you can’t use home
based antivirus as office/business antivirus since home based computer connects

based computer, usually will have the server set up to download the

program designed specifically to fight and protect computers from being
attacked by a viruses. Helps to determine the best ways to fight with these

How antivirus find the virus in your computer
Both antivirus available
on the market around the world has a library of signature of all common
viruses, during scanning process the antivirus compares the content of all
computer program with the library database of the viruses. If happen there is
such kind of program that matches with a signature that is defined as a virus
and alert you/user about this program and further actions are taken as per
user’s decision.
But the dangerous of this approach, it consider only the
viruses available in library database, the new viruses that are not stored on
the database are not considered as the virus. To avoid such kind of dangerous
you will need to keep your antivirus updated all the time (perform regular
update) or you might set automatic update as the time the update available will
update itself automatically when you connect to the internet.
To understand Cleary the
above paragraph considers the example below. A program 123 is stored in a
library database and being identified as a virus signature, when you start
scanning computer and find the program 123 into your machine will identify it
as a virus and notify you to take action against it.
Assume you’re network
engineer in a certain company, computers systems attacked by virus and the
threat was contained in several departments, you will need to perform local
virus scan before anything to detect the viruses.

- Use administrator option to log on to the computer
- Look at your computer shortcut and click the antivirus icon to open
- Click the scan for viruses’ button
- Opt the drive or partition you want to scan
- Tap scan
How to remove the detected viruses?
To see the list of detected viruses after scanning of computer system use the settings options to open the quarantine, then follow the steps below to delete all viruses from the quarantine.
- After the scan is complete, you will need to review the list of detected threats provided by the antivirus program
- Highlight all the viruses detected using your computer mouse or CTRL+A
- Right click, when offered the option click Quarantine all
- Click yes to send a copy of the virus to the quarantine server, then the message stated “the virus was successfully quarantined” will be shown to you.
Now, you will need to
verify that the antivirus program is configured to contact the antivirus server
and download any available definitions on a daily basis.
Check to see if your
computer antivirus program is configured to scan the computer on an everyday if
not set it.
