How to integrate IDM module extension in microsoft edge browser

The article which I have  written on how to integrate internet download manager into Mozilla Firefox and  internet download manager integration into Google chrome extension page, I’m sure had made your internet download manager to show the download panel for video playing on your browser with different quality. Now was up on you to decide the best quality your do prefer most.

This is different to Microsoft edge browser; Internet download manager extension for edge is not available in the app store.

But doesn’t mean that you can’t do anything to integrate Internet download manager to your edge browser, Here is how you can do that.

Important:

• If your using the outdate version of IDM, you will need to update to the latest version.

• Make sure you checked edge browser integration from “Use advanced browser integration” if you don’t know how to check browser integration watch the video below.

• Make sure you navigate to locally disk C: and verify if the folder named IDMEdgeExt is available.

• Make sure you enable developer feature on microsoft edge.

Now add IDM extension in microsoft edge

Open Microsoft edge browser from task bar or anywhere, At the search or Address bar type “about:flags”. Under developer settings check box “Enable extension developer features” second from the bottom.

Now you need to restart your browser for changes to take effect, Look at your right hand at the top corner, tap on three dots. “…”

Navigate and select extension from the menu.

• Tap on Load extension.

Browse on your locally disk C: /Program Files (*86)/Internet download manager and find the folder named “IDMEdgeExt” click the folder and hit select the folder at the bottom.

Now the Internet download manager is integrated in Microsoft edge, you can enjoy unlimited downloads. watch video below

Remember: “The extension installed from unknown source (unsigned) in Microsoft edge will be turned off by Microsoft edge browser because developer extension  turned off automatically when the browser enter idle state for almost ten seconds. So the browser will be prompting a message to you “We’ve turned off extension from unknown sources. They might be risk so we recommend keeping them off. This happen many times especially after the browsers enter idle sate but you can still enable the extension by choosing “Turn on anyway”.
