How to hide apps on Android

Can you imagine how would it be if someone navigate into your phone and get access to your personal private information such as bank card number, documents, pictures, videos?

Can you imagine how easy it would be to you if your mother, daddy, and any other relatives borrowed your phone and you have got pictures and videos that you don’t prefer them to interact with?

Can you imagine how would you react if your friend needs to borrow your phone and may be your phone has private apps, which are not friendly to your friend? How would you react to your daughter, son, young brother or sister, asking for your phone to play games or listening to music, will you hand it to him or her?

Also imagine you’re tired of past apps that drain your battery and you never used into your phone.

Due to These some number of reasons, I decide to share with you this article. I’m sure you might want to hide apps on your phone so that you can avoid shame and losing your private information. Here the steps you to hide apps on your android phone.

How to hide app on android without launcher

• Disable apps

Since i have been writing article on Smartphone ,Some android smartphones such as Samsung and Tecno have option that’s allows you to disable apps in settings. But some other apps in settings don’t have disable option, so you can uninstall the apps. Follow steps below to disable or uninstall the apps.

On your phone screen tap on settings (gear icon), scroll down and navigate to find System. Now under system tap on Apps (windows icon) then scroll down to find the apps you want to disable or uninstall. Then under App info you can now disable or uninstall the app. failed to uninstall the app from settings you can install direct from Google play store. On the search bar type the app you want to uninstall, now you can uninstall it easily.

• Use Applock

Applock may not hide your apps but at least will hide your sensitive information from being accessed by anybody since any time you need to access the app will require you to enter the security code. If you’re not installed App lock download and install CM Locker-App lock screen from Google play store. Tap to open and select items to lock.

Nova launcher hide apps

• Use launcher

 

There are so many launchers available on Google play now days but not every launcher can support app hiding. Some launchers don’t have this functionality. If you’re installed launcher doesn’t support app hiding, I recommend to you just use Nova launcher. You can get it on Google play. Tap on your Google play store from your home screen, on the search bar type Nova launcher, now install. Or install here

 

After you installed Nova launcher, opens under Nova settings tap on App & widget drawers. Scroll down and find Drawers group. Under drawer group now you can hide apps. But if you’re using free version of Nova launcher, the option will be disabled you need to upgrade to Nova launcher Prime.
