IDM Integration Module for Google Chrome

In 2016, I have written the article on how to integrate internet download manager into Mozilla Firefox, hopefully have worked for you. But when you upgrade your Firefox browser to newest version and showed you compatibility problem with existing version of your installed IDM for your browser. The best option is to remove it. Then download IDM and save into your computer. Open your local disk C:/Program Files (*86)/Internet download Manager. Then find the extension named “idmzzcc.xpi” tap and drop on Mozilla Firefox browser extension page. Enable it and restart your browser.

If you have installed Google chrome into your computer, when you install Internet download manager will install automatically extension into your browser. Which you need to do is to enable it from Google Chrome extension page. Now you can enjoy unlimited files download such as video, music, doc, PDF, etc. using Google Chrome.

Before you move on, first make sure you checked browser integration from use advanced browser integration. If you have installed your IDM, tap on its shortcut, the window will open. Click on Options (Two gear icon), window open choose General. Then check the box named “Use advanced browser integration” if unchecked. Now Internet download manager will capture download from the listed checked browser, also you may uncheck the browser you don’t want to capture the downloads.
Now which you need to do is to enable IDM from Google chrome extension page.

Now after Google chrome is checked, open your browser from your computer screen shortcut or task manager. If not installed yet download Google chrome here.

At the search bar of Google chrome type “chrome: //extensions or chrome: //ext.”  Then hit enter. You will find extension for your installed IDM. Tick the box to enable the IDM.

If happen no IDM extension on browser extension page, you will need to place extension manually. Open your local disk “C” from your computer, Program Files (*86), and find installed Internet download manager directory in Program Files (*86).

Open File Explorer from your taskbar for windows 10, on your left hand menu tap on This PC or My computer. Open local disk C: /Program Files *86/ Internet download Manager/.

Navigate and find the extension named “IDMGCExt.crx” tap and drop extension onto chrome extension page to install.
